Native plants. Student artists. Community roots.
The Go Native Mural celebrates the remarkable plants that thrive along Oregon’s South Coast and provide essential habitat for pollinators.
Created in Spring 2017, the mural was the result of a community collaboration between 22 Bandon High School art students, native plant expert Darcy Grahek of Stillwater Native Nursery, and artist/instructor Vicki Affatati. Together, they researched and painted nine large panels featuring species that naturally flourish in our coastal biome. Each native plant grows naturally along this South Coast biome and are essential pollinator habitat.
A vibrant reminder that beauty, biodiversity, and community grow together on the Bandon Mural Tour.
