1. Sea Lions
This mural begins at the water’s edge.
When artist Bonnie Nixon saw an aging wall beside the Edgewater Restaurant, since closed, she imagined something more fitting for the coast. The result was a lively mural of seals and pelicans that quickly became a favorite with visitors. Bonnie stated "My kids had the Edgewater's restaurant for 12 years. The old cement wall was a real eye sore for customers, so I decided to spruce it up with something fitting for the area. Seals seemed appropriate, customers loved it! (Mayor) Mary Shammerhorn suggested the pelicans." The orca whales on the buildings eastern exterior wall were painted by Jack Champayne.
